Amplifier board. I suspect the chip with the heat sink is the actual amplifier. There are no other chips on the board. The LED "VU meter" board at the top of the photo has another IC in it; that makes four total. Integration was still pricey in

The tuner board. AM antenna is a standard ferrite bar. Notice there's only two integrated circuits on this board. I counted four chips in the entire unit, though there may be more hidden on the backs of the boards and not visible. I don't want to disassem

Tape deck. This is a fairly high quality deck; it's 28 years old and runs at the correct speed with no wow/flutter and still sounds good. Notice how clean it is; I DID NOT clean this. I suspect this unit may have been refurbished at some point.
